Upgrade From vRA 7.3 to vRA 7.5 Step by Step

You can upgrade your current vRealize Automation environment to the latest version.
In-place Upgrade and Side-by-Side Upgrade
Depending on your current vRealize Automation environment, you can upgrade to the latest version by performing an in-place upgrade or a side-by-side upgrade. Review the information on this page to determine the best upgrade method for your environment.
An in-place upgrade is a multi-step process. You perform procedures in a particular order to update the various components in your current environment. You must upgrade all product components to the same version. You can only perform an in-place upgrade for these paths.
  • vRealize Automation 6.2.5 to 7.5
  • vRealize Automation 7.1.x to 7.5
  • vRealize Automation 7.2.x to 7.5
  • vRealize Automation 7.3.x to 7.5
  • vRealize Automation 7.4.x to 7.5
A side-by-side upgrade migrates the data in your current vRealize Automation environment to a target environment deployed with the latest version of vRealize Automation. You can perform a side-by-side upgrade for these paths.
  • vRealize Automation 6.2.0 through 6.2.5 to 7.5
  • vRealize Automation 7.0 and 7.0.1 to 7.5
  • vRealize Automation 7.1.x, 7.2.x, and 7.3.x, 7.4.x to 7.5

After Upgrading to VMware vRA 7.5 Storage is not getting populated in Reservation - Known Issue

Today when i have upgraded my vRA 7.3 to vRA 7.5. I have discovered one issue where storage was not getting populated in reservation but it was visible in compute Resources.

Then when i was trying to fix this issue, i found KB 59705. As it is mentioned in this KB it is known issue and the solution is to restart vcac-server service from vRA Appliance. I did same.

After restarting this service, wait for few minutes and connect back to your tenant. Bingo, Issue Resolved.
