As we all knew vSphere Client is no longer available from vSphere 6.5 Onwards. Now we can connect with esxi directly by using the client embedded in esxi host, this client is known as Host Client. To access this use:-
https://esxifqdn/ui
username = root
password = as configured
Networking > Virtual Switches Tab > Add Standard virtual switch > provide the required details > add
Note:- In host client now we have functionality to configure vSwitch name and CDP. Earlier this option was available through CLI. I have checked this feature in vSphere Client and vSphere Web Client of vSphere 6.5 but this is still not available in them, it's only available in Host Client
