Purpose
This article provides information on the purpose of the Generic virtual blueprint in VMware vRealize Automation (formerly known as vCloud Automation Center) 5.2.
Resolution
In VMware vRealize Automation (formerly known as vCloud Automation Center) 5.2.x, a generic blueprint is a virtual blueprint that is not tied to a specific hypervisor. Users can request a machine based on a generic blueprint and it could land on any virtual reservation ( such as Citrix, vSphere, or Hyper V).
Note: Platform Types for virtual blueprints were introduced in VMware vRealize Automation 4.5.
